Deriving influences from jazz artists such as Kurt Elling, Carmen McRae, and Ella Fitzgerald, Teryn Carter has developed her own unique sound which she longs to share with the world. After graduating from Azusa Pacific University with a Commercial Music Emphasis in Arranging, she continues to arrange and perform regularly in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas with her band, the TCB (Teryn Carter Band). Regular venues her band performs in include the Catalina Bar and Grill, Steamers Jazz Cafe, Bacchus Secret Cellar and Wine Shop, and the Hip Kitty. She performs and arranges for the Azusa Pacific University Big Band, Citrus College Big Band as well as the Saddleback College Big Band. Her talents are shared not only through her voice, but through her jazz combo and big band arrangements. She looks forward to new opportunities as she continues to pursue her writing, arranging, and performing career.
